Help us celebrate 100 years of Denali National Park!
Denali National Park is celebrating it is 100 year anniversary in 2017. We invite you to come visit Denali during this Centennial year!
Deep in the Alaskan interior is over six million acres of preserved wilderness that includes massive expanses of forest, glacial lakes, frozen tundra, and towering mountains - including North America’s tallest mountain, Denali, formerly known as Mount McKinley. Mount McKinley National Park was established in 1917 to protect the unique and sensitive wildlife that inhabit the area. In 1980 the park boundaries were expanded, nearly tripling its size to include the winter grounds of the native Denali caribou and Denali, the highest point in North America at 20,310 feet. This expansion led to the renaming of the park, creating Denali National Park & Preserve, as we know it today.
